Advanced Robotics

Paper Submission:
Submission by printed manuscript (1/2)

I. Download author's kit

The following is the author's kit for Advanced Robotics. We are sorry for lacking forms of Macintosh-/Windows-proper word processors.

  1. Form of coverpage A and B.
  2. Style files
    LaTeX2e users:
Style and class files: 'arsubmit.sty' and 'arsubmit.cls.'
Our document class is almost same as standard 'article' class of LaTeX2e, except for line-spacing and size of text area.
    Sample files: 'sample2e.tex', 'sample2e.dvi', and 'sample2e.pdf.'
    Microsoft Word users:
    Sample file: 'sample.doc'
    Others:
Print 'sample2e.pdf.' and try to resemble the style.
  3. Paper Information Form

II. Prepare the manuscript

A manuscript must contain the following materials. All the texts and information must be written in English, and be typed 1.5-2 line spacing, single-sided, on A4 (or US letter sized) papers.

  1. Coverpage A (downloaded form):
    Category of paper
    (full, survey, or short paper).
    Title
    Names and affiliations of authors.
    Corresponding author's information.
Name, address, phone and facsimile number, and E-mail address.
  2. Coverpage B (same file as 'coverpage A')
    Abstract
200 words for full/survey papers, 100 words for short papers.
    List of keywords
    no more than 5 keywords.
    List of related fields
Choose no more than 5 related fields from 'Field of Interest'.
  3. Text body and references.
Our 'arsubmit' style for LaTeX2e generates a page which is suitable for reviewing and proof reading, but it is quite different from the image of journal page. If you want to know how many journal pages your paper would be, use standard 'article' class instead of our class. It will give you a very good estimate.
    References:
References should be listed at the end of the paper in the reference section in the order they are cited in the text body.
    Figures (including photos)
Figures must be numbered consecutively, and captioned appropriately.
    Tables
Tables also must be numbered consecutively, and captioned appropriately.
  4. List of figures (including photos), and tables with captions.
  5. Figures (including photos) and tables

Note

The copies of original photos, figures, and tables may appear in the text body, but the original ones must be provided with good quality for reproduction on separate sheets, or as electronic image files.
