The Regulations for the Recommendation of Candidates for Executives of the Robotics Society of JapanEnacted on April 15, 1988 by the Board of Directors Revised on October 18, 1991 by the Board of Directors Revised on April 1, 2000 by the Board of Directors
(Purpose) Article 1 These Regulations shall stipulate the detailed regulations necessary for the implementation of Article 5 of the Regulations for the Election and Appointment of Executives of the Robotics Society of Japan.
(Recommendation of Candidates for Executives) Article 2 The chairman of the election committee shall request that the regular members make recommendations for candidates for Executives of the next term through written documents such as the journal and bulletins.
(Recommendation of Candidates for President) Article 3 The chairman of the election committee shall disclose to the Councilors a list of candidates for President of not more than ten (10) persons recommended by the regular members in accordance with Article 2 and ranked in order of recommendation and shall make a further request for the recommendation of candidates for President. 2. Each Councilor shall make recommendations for candidates from a wide-ranging standpoint, taking into account the candidates disclosed in accordance with the preceding Paragraph. 3. Each Councilor shall perform the recommendation set forth in the preceding two Paragraphs by writing the name of one candidate for President on the mailed and designated form and by returning such form. 4. The person obtaining the majority of the effective votes as a result of the recommendation shall be the candidate for the next President. 5. In
the case when there is no person obtaining a majority or when the person
obtaining the majority declines such recommendation as a candidate, the
following procedures shall be taken: (2) The person obtaining the most votes shall be the candidate for the next President. If there is more than one person obtaining the most votes, a candidate shall be elected by the election committee in a drawing; and (3) If the person recommended as the next President by the voting declines such recommendation, the second-ranking candidate shall be the candidate for the next President.
(Recommendation of Candidates for Executives other than President) Article 4 The chairman of the election committee shall disclose to each Director the persons recommended by the regular members in accordance with Article 2 and make a further request for the recommendation of candidates for Vice-Presidents, other Directors and Auditors. 2. Each Director shall make recommendations for candidates from a wide-ranging standpoint, taking into account the candidates disclosed in accordance with the preceding Paragraph. 3. The result of the recommendation in accordance with the preceding two Paragraphs shall be coordinated by the chairman of the election committee and then shall be subject to the final decision of the Board of Directors.
(Standards for Recommendation) Article 5 When performing the election and recommendation of Executives, attention shall be paid so that an Executive shall not be appointed for two (2) consecutive terms, unless there is an unavoidable reason for such appointment.
Supplementary Provisions These
Regulations shall be implemented from April 15, 1988. |
